Desexualization concept must be included in education and media

Desexualization in dance performance

Sexual harassment has been a part and parcel of our every day life. It is a common feature of news paper. To decrease sexual harassment we should practice desexualization and establish a desexualized society. Desexualization is a unknown concept in  Bangladesh .it is “to inhibit sexual impetus  in pubic place , professional spheres and under given circumstances” . For instance ,when a male doctor check a female  patient by touching  then he desexualize himself. He just acts as doctor. On the other hand, the patient also desexualize herself. He play her patient role and put out other identities such as wife, friend, brother, sister, teacher etc. We also can see dance performance, shooting, bar, beauty parlor as example of desexualized segment in context of Bangladesh. It actually related to professionalism .Now the question is that is our society desexualized ? Actually we failed to establish a desexualized society.  But why? Depolarization of gender, low socio-economic status, unimplication of sexual harassment lows are some causes of this failure.

It is all the more painful  to note that our socioeconomic status and depolarization of gender decreasing day by day . But sexual harassment is on increasing. Because our education system ,media are fully empty of this important concept . However our religion also plays an important role to deseualization process as we saw a desexualized environment during Hazz (pilgrimage to macca). So desexualization concept should be included in our education and media as they play an important role in socialization.
